ASWAD AYINDE is a name that many of you may not be familiar with.  I only know of him because I saw his name in connection with The Fugees.  I was checking out New York Daily News when I came across this.  In light of what we’ve been discussing this past year, and the direction that The Dirt has taken, I thought it warranted a re-cap here.

Okay so apparently this dude Ayinde who won and MTV award for the Killing Me Softly” video ( Lauryn Hill) is guilty of not only repeatedly raping his daughters, but fathering children with them in order to preserve his bloodline.  Does this sound familiar to any of you?    You know, no matter how much I believe that this type of thing happens all over the world, I’m always blown away whenever these stories surface.

As we all know, The 51st Annual Grammy Awards went down lastnight in Los Angeles, and aside from the drama of the Brown Beatdown, there was some fashion drama on the red carpet.  Let’s take a look at what the best and brightest in the music industry graced the red carpet wearing.

BTW…Beyonce was a no show, and she didn’t win the
Grammy.  I’m really surprised since she would show up at the opening of a door.  I think the clock is ticking on her popularity.

Taraji strikes a pose on the red carpet in Los Angeles

I”ve always like Taraji P. Henson, especially in Hustle and Flow, where she played a mentally challenged, pregnant, hoe ( Did I fuck up?).   She didn’t win the Award for her role in the movie Benjamin Button with Brad Pitt, but she sure did stun on the red carpet in a white Herve Leroux gown.  Taraji was flawless from head to toe. The hair was simple, the make-up was understated, and the dress was  elegant, without being over the top.  In order to pull of such a form fitting white dress you’d better have on some fantastic foundation garments, or be  in tip-top shape, as white will show every ripple, dent, and roll on your body.  I’m hearing nothing but good things about Benjamin Button, so I guess that’s what I’ll be doing tonight.  Anyway, Taraji…keep up the good work, and I’m sure your time to shine is right around the corner.
